Borehamwood Instructor Awarded 4th Dan

Kevin O'Sullivan was completely shocked to have been presented with an Honorary 4th Dan Grade for services to Martial Arts. Kevin, from Norfolk Gardens in Borehamwood, has been teaching for Tigers Shotokan Karate at Kenilworth School for over 8 years and was presented to this weekend by his Chief Instructor Vando De-Bellis and Senior Instructor Ron Charran (both 5th Dans). They commented that Kevin's commitment, enthusiasm and spirit is relentless.

Kevin was left speechless by his Seniors announcement to the club at their grading in St. Albans. It was a brilliant weekend, with black belt awards also going to Kim Munro of Potters Bar (3rd Dan), Ashley Wilson of Kings Langley (2nd Dan) and Giuseppe Siciliano of St. Albans (1st Dan).

Vando De-Bellis commented that everyone had been training for at least a year before taking their 1st Dan, 2 years before taking a 2nd Dan and even longer for the higher grades. It demonstrates the commitment required to achieve these awards. Earning a Black Belt at any level is a great achievement and the whole club is extremely proud of those that earned them this weekend.

Tigers have children's and adult Karate classes in St. Albans, Borehamwood, Bushey, Potters Bar and Park Street. If you would like to be part of a succesful hard working Karate club please call Tigers on 01727 840773 or visit the web site at www.tigers-shotokan.org.uk for further information.
